Academics

We offer almost 60 different college courses spanning the arts, humanities, sciences, and social sciences. As you'll see from the course descriptions, you have many attractive choices. Most courses carry 3 units and you can take up to 7 units. These are real college courses, and you will study alongside undergraduates from Washington University. At the conclusion of the program, you will have accumulated up to 7 units of college credit, transferable to most accredited colleges and universities.

Here's a quick list of what's available:
  • Languages: French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese
  • Arts: dance, drama, music
  • Sciences: biology, chemistry, geology, mathematics, physics
  • Humanities: anthropology, English, history, philosophy
  • Social Sciences: economics, political science, psychology

This list can only begin to suggest the possibilities for intellectual exploration, increased knowledge and mastery, and self-discovery. See the course descriptions. Each week we hold several Exploration Seminars, informative sessions on college admission, financial assistance, and career planning. These are led by Washington University admissions staff and representatives of our undergraduate colleges: Architecture, Art, Arts & Sciences, Business, and Engineering.
